Metz

I spent two nights in Nancy, having a long chat with the guy doing the long walk (it was his resting day). Ended up with a long walk myself getting back to the hostel after the last bus (missing it was intentional, but the vertical distance was unexpected).

Yesterday I moved on to Metz, much of the architecture is new building emulating classical style.

I need to cancel my flight (seeing as I'll be travelling by train), but to do so BA wants me to input my credit card number (to confirm ID). All the cybercafes in Metz seem to be a single chain, with a common install of IE6, and the one I'm in now has Kaspersky warning that its evaluation period has ended. Probably shouldn't even log in to email really. They also have phones, and behind me there's a lady who's been shouting madly for at least 20 minutes.

Tommorrow will be either Luxembourg or Reims.

A bit late now, but what you need is a Portable version of Firefox. It runs from a memory stick, and in theory it doesn't leave anything behind once you shut it down.

Trouble is, if the PC has been infected with a keylogger then using a different browser doesn't help.
