Erfurt - more

Today I've seen the inside of the cathedral and neighbouring church (of Saint Severi). The outside of both buildings is impressive; while the insides are good they don't live up to the outsides' promise.

The Krämer Bridge is charming, but is one of those engineering feats that you appreciate by not noticing the feat itself. It's a normal-looking narrow street when you're on it, as you can see in the picture below; but when you're on the river it's clearly houses on a bridge. There's a newer, but normal, bridge next to it from which the outside can be seen.

On the way back, I heard a German busker. Unlike many English counterparts, he actually knew the words to Wonderwall.

I'm considering Coburg or Bamberg next, followed by Nürnburg (Nuremburg). I'll be using the German names even for cities that have English names, it's less confusing when planning. The umlauts will, however, only be on posts that I make with a German keyboard.

(There's no significance to the change of user icon, I'm just getting bored of the bear.)
