Barcelona

Haven't been keeping this up to date - much to do instead of being on the internet.

I keep thinking I've seen as many buildings as I want to, and then wandering past something and thinking "ooh, let's have a look in there".

The tapas and flamenco night took a turn for the unexpected, when an entire class of Dutch students joined and overfilled the quota, with a New Zealander and I as the only others on the trip. The itinery has the tour do tapas, the flamenco show, shots in a bar, and a disco. We slowly lost people, and only three of us were still along after the shots. The rest of the itinery was dropped, as we set off to find a bar that our guide liked instead of the disco.

Yesterday was a lot of wandering around, topped with the Casa Batillo (by Gaudi).

Both yesterday and today I had to move room in the hostel, as groups move in and out. Today was chaos, with around an hour of people with cases everywhere.

Today I've had another day of wandering. Along with all the Catalan architecture, I ran in to a lovely shop that reminded me of home - it's called Camden, with the appropiate Tube sign and German EBM.

Tomorrow is a slow train journey over the Pyranees, ending up in Carcassonne around 22:30 (the hostel is booked ahead for this one).

Cheers John. See you in a couple of months, if you haven't gone travelling again before I get back.
