Things that I still can't ask in French

At breakfast: Where is the cold milk (not the hot milk, the cold milk)?

At the train station, around 10:30: The 10:14 is still on the departure board, is it delayed or has it gone?

I've been in Cahors for two days, which is pretty but quiet with lovely weather. Today it's turned a little British, meeting the first day of the French holiday with gentle rain that's just enough to make you want to stay in; and railway engineering work.

There is room for me in the Montpellier hostel, so there next few days will be in a city that's one quarter uni students.

cold milk
We had a lot of fun in Italy because latte caldo is hot milk.
Latte freddo is cold milk.
Did you run to the platform and check?
We're promised snow, so far only a heavy shower, but the ground is absolutely saturated, standing water and squelchy.

Re: cold milk
I kept an eye on the platform (visible from just outside the concourse), but it dwasn't there. It disappeared from the boards while I was buying a paper, so I ended up never knowing. If it did run late then it must have turned round in a minute or so.

Glad to be in France for the weather.
